Acceptable in the 80's Digital Stamp Kit

'Allo allo.
I know its Thursday - but I am going away early tomorrow morning, and seeing as blogger hates me and won't let me schedule my posting, I am blogging the Musing today!
So hello!
This week we have a retro themed kit - called
"Acceptable in the 80's"
(My web designer came up with that title - and I was like "Friggin Genuis!!!!!!!")
Anywhoo - it is an eclectic kit which would rock out on teenage cards, as well as making some retro cuteness for all of those in our lives who remember making mix tapes or recording the top 40 (pausing through the adverts) on a Sunday eve in their bedroom *sigh*
You can purchase the kit in my shoppy shoppe - and it is always open for business HERE
________________________________________
Did you know that the files in my kits come as PNG files - so you can use them digitally?
I made a quickie digital Layout using "Acceptable in the 80's" "Love to type" and "hello hello" to create a little cluster of images.
Emma Bryan made these cool push pins for her son's notice board! She glued each hand coloured *cripey - hand coloured!!! Dedicated!!* image to the back of the push pin - to create a really cool interesting effect for his notice board! I've not seen that done before - and I love it!

And this week I have the both awesome and funny Julie Kirk as my guest!
Here is what Julie has to say:
1: What is your top crafty love?
Combining colours and word on any kind of project. Just as long as they're both there, I'm satisfied.
2: What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
As a toddler I'd sneakily eat soil from the garden. I still get the urge to try it again. But I haven't!
3: What would you do if you didn’t have to ever work again?
I'd write, create, travel, volunteer, spend far too long online and wear heels more often.
4: Can you fake any accents?
Yes. I'm typing this in American ... can't you tell?
5: Do you have any party tricks or hidden talents?
I have an ability to remember colours and match-up shades without needing to have both items in front of me. Just think of me as part human - part 'you find the colour we'll match it' paint-mixing machine.
6: Which bad habit of other people irritates you most?
Cheap, easy jokes at another's expense.
7: Do you have any phobias?
I'm afraid of dogs, deep water and large structures, so basically a kennel on an oil-rig would be my idea of hell.
8: Do you blog? If yes – link us up!
Yes I blog, drop in to see me HERE but any dogs will have to stay outside!
9: What do you like most about the Little Musings images?
At the risk of sounding overly gushy ... my favourite thing is seeing someone who's created a business from doing what she loves. And it shows.

= awww - thank you Julie :)
Now - if you are not already holding onto your heads, please do, cos this next lost is gonna blow your mind...
Julie had the Acceptable in the 80's digi set to work with...
and she did a freakishly amazing job of it....
Awesome card - with woograin *love*
(also - take a few seconds to look her lovely themed and staged pics - seriously, lol, I love them all!)
Check out this tall card - all that detail of paint and background is just perfection

Yup "Uh-Mazing" Alright!
And if you thought this kit was for boys - you better think again... :-)

and here those little sneakers are again at home on a brilliant layout!

So, inspired much? I am!! - "Acceptable in the 80's" - Go get yours today!

The Angels are back in stock!

Well - they're here!
The Angel stamps arrived and there are now 8 designs and one multi pack to choose from.
I absolutely adore them, there is something incredibly humbling to see them come to life from a sketch on a drawing pad, to when they arrive in polymer for me to trim and package for you - and with every sale, I feel so honoured that you like them too - so thank you to all who have purchased already :)
But for those who haven't seen them yet - worry not,
there are still some left HERE
The designs are as follows:
Each stamp is created in deep etch 3.2mm clear polymer, and are approx 3" tall (unless stated otherwise) so are a great size for card makers for cards and scrapbookers for embellishments.
If you love the look at them and would like more information or perhaps to even own one of two, please log onto the shop HERE and take a browse.
In the mean time, would you like to see a huge array of samples?
Yeah you do!
Lisa Hines has made this pastel pretty card using Lillian -and I love how it has turned out. The image would suit a vast array of occasions, especially anything with a celebration theme.
The shading on the die cut shape is so pretty and delicate.
Caroline Sears has made this selection of divine cards using the new stamps,
Caroline says she has kept them clean and simple to capture the innocence of the angels. I love them, they are beautiful and just goes to show how different the interpretations of crafters can be - Very angelic!
Rose Abi and Flis feature on this gorgeous card with a mother sentiment.
"My true" show here, with gorgeous tones and shading, bliss!
and Lailah here, looking divine as a blonde holding the baby - I think this particular design of stamp would be perfect for so many occasions, it is a design that I feel is beautifully emotive and I love what Caroline has done.
Here are some cards I have made with the stamps - as I was starting to feel left out lol!
Here is 'Flora' - She is my new favourite, I love her little floral headdress.
This next one uses "Sarah and Fin" together with pretty blues and a doilie.
and last but not least for me is Lillian
Here is a cute technique, I am a bit rubbish at sewing, but even I managed this :) Stamp some calico or linen *etc* with an angel stamp, in a light ink, and then "doodle" stitch over her. I coloured the "middle" bits in with promarkers which work really well on fabric I found :)
here is a close up of Fern - the stamp and stamped :-)
That birdie makes me smile :)
Angela Scott is a wonderful crafter who purchased one of the first run of "Lillian" stamps = and she allowed me to post a picture of her card she has made using a technique I adore, where she has stamped the angel on different patterned papers and rebuilt the image. I just think it is such a beautiful idea and I am really happy that she has allowed me to show you all. You can see more of Angie's work on her BLOG

I missed it by 1... lol, so, welcome to my one thousand and second post.

You can purchase the set HERE in the stamp shop
I used to have a gorgeous Vespa - it was blue and pretty and I sold it when I became pregnant with my Finlay..... ahhhh sweet nostalgia.
----
Lisa Hines made this cool and funky card using the pre-coloured red Scooter, I love how the works so well against that cloud paper.. makes me want to don a helmet and ride off!
This week we have a new designer guest - Emma Bryan
Emma's work is bright and inspiring and impossibly cool :)
Here is her card using the scooter outline image which she has coloured in.... look closely - can you see how she has made the helmet patterned paper by repeating the helmet image from the kit!
*awesome!*
Emma has amazingly agreed to stay on and become one of the regular DT here on the blog - yay! So welcome Emma!!

Emma's Little Musings Designer “gettin’to’know’you” questionnaire:

1: What is your top crafty love?
It will always be patterned paper, other obsessions come and go but if you have patterned paper you can make anything with a bit of imagination.

Probably Crocodile or Ostrich - I had a bit of each in an Australian restaurant once.
3: What would you do if you didn’t have to ever work again?
I haven't worked for 12 years(SAHM) so probably more of the same, crafting!!

Welsh I suppose but it ends up veering off into Indian

I can flare my nostrils - but I try not to!
6: Which bad habit of other people irritates you most?
Bad time keeping - If I can get there on time, so can you!

Flying Ants, the one day a year they swarm I stay firmly indoors, just wish I knew what day it would be.

Gah - Blarrghhhh

We are all at home very poorly sick indeed.
I have had a sickness bug which I kindly passed onto Ben and Finlay, on Ben's week off *weep* so since Sunday night, I have been in Pj's and in and out of bed to the bathroom, which meant I missed my sisters Birthday spa break!!
*insert childish whine*
Instead, I got to stare into a sick bowl and paint my own nails lurid green in defiance.
So - here is a collection of photos from my last 72 hours...
Sunday, Finlay drew me him and Ben on his chalk board. It was a good job too, as it made my soul very happy - and trust me, it needed a solid foundation for what was to come...
Here we all *well, apart from me "shakey camera lady"* enduring our illness by lounging on various beds and sofas..
I turned onto QVC yesterday by chance, and saw my stamps being coloured in by Dawn Bibby, which made for a nice 5 minutes of "eeee look!!!"
and Ben amazingly bought me this.... £7 in Tesco!!
WIN!
But the coolest thing that has helped cheer me up.. is this......
AWESOME YELLOW TYPEY!
Ben's mum grabbed it for £4.95 in a charity shop in my home town, and it works, and the ink is still good! *whoop!*
What a happy shade of yellow!
<3

Well - that's really all I have to say about life today..
catch ya when I am better!
