Meep Meep! Friday Stamp

Pinch punch first of the month!
Happy April everyone :)
This week, I have some robots for you - four little characters waiting to adorn your cards and crafts :) I hope you like them.. meet Lyddy, Oily, Kitbot and Rover....
You can purchase "Meep Meep" digital stamp kit
I made a quick sample this week - at the weekend I was lucky enough to get some gorgeous pro markers, and I have spend most of my days this week printing out musings to colour in :) And this is no exception, I love the smooth colour! *adore*
Caroline Sears has made this fabulous creation, with Oilly and Rover :) I love them on that silver metal tred paper - what little boy wouldn't love this greetings card on their birthday?!!
Out of this world (lol - yes, I am all about the robotic puns today!)
Lisa Hines came up with one her amazing creations - a birthday card that transforms into a book marker - genius (and yes, I did say transforms heheh)
Oh for the love of polka dots = can you believe how cool this card is?
If you are fans of the face book page (if not - why not? please pop by and say hi HERE)
Then you will have seen my call for guest designers - I just figured it would be a cool way of getting samples to you guys and reaching out to different people across this Internet world :)
This week a lovely lady , Sarah Packer volunteered her skills just yesterday (!!!) to make a cute project with Meep Meep... She made this awesome bright and stripy notebook with Lyddy on the front cover - cute notebook title too Sarah!
Love the ribbon tags. Thank you Sarah.

So, if you feel like you wanna get your robot groove on... pop by the little musings shop :)
Thank you for stopping by and your continued support

Mailing list for Little Musings stamps

The Angel stamps sold out so fast - that I have had emails from people who have requested to go on a waiting list for them - and I thought rather than collate bits of paper with names on, it would make sense to make a mailing list so I can let everyone know at once when the new stock is in before they go live on the shop (aka, you will get first notifications - and also notifications of special offers etc)
So if you wanna be first in the know - sign up below!
(Your email address will not be passed on to anyone. And that's a promise)

Angels and Fiskars

Well.. here is what I sent my husband off with today when he went to the post office...
So if you are expecting an Angel stamp set, or two, or four! - then they are "winging" their way to you as I type :) I was blown away by the orders I received over the weekend, and I cannot believe that I sold out!! If you found me from Kirsty Wiseman's blog link then hello! Add me to your blog reader so you can be kept up to date with the latest designs that will be coming soon! Or you could like the facebook page HERE and get updates that way :)
I have been a busy bee myself with the stamps (aside from packing them) And made a full range of cards with them, including some of the new designs that will be available as stamps soon :)
Thank you to everyone who ordered - I am so grateful and so pleased that you liked them - my heart grew :)
*************************************************************
In other news - I taught this weekend at the NEC for Fiskars.
I loved the class -it was full of friendly lovely ladies and we had a good laugh, I created a canvas for them using some of the latest fiskars products.
Here is everyone at the end with their canvas projects. (I don't know why I am standing like a ballerina there, when clearly I am not one lol!) Heh.
Thank you to all who came :)

Thursday

Ok - I have fallen into a pattern of only blogging on Fridays again, and as much as I LOVE my digi stamps (I am biased) I miss "life" posts...
I saw this on Lisa Dickinsons blog today and like the idea of it - so I am "lifting" the concept.
Today I am:

viewing | E4 tv - and Ben in Superman Pj's, I am also watching Finlay walk around with a toy water gun shaped like a camera - so far he has gotten me in both eyes and a bit down my pj pants. Awesome.

thinking | That it's St Patricks day, and I dislike Guiness but love the green projects I am seeing in blogland

wearing | The aforementioned pj's, a white vest and striped cardigan

hoping | That Finlay sleeps through the night and doesn't get up at 5am

imagining | Summer coming and being in a place that *might* have a private garden for Finlay to play in :)

creating lots of new illustrations of angels

planning | the Canvas class I am teaching for Fiskars UK at Hobbycrafts NEC 27th March

wondering | If I will ever finish a 'to do list" before I have to add 30 more things to it!?

listening | to Mindy Gledhill, Priscilla Ahn, Dashboard Confessional and Trading Yesterday

anticipating | the paperwork for the sale of our flat to come through (oops... have I not mentioned that yet!?!?!!? :-D

wishing | That the perfect 3 bed house in our desired area existed to rent - it does not. :(

trying | to tackle my inbox - this is true for me too - I am DESPERATE to get on top of my emails - sorry if you are waiting for one!

appreciating | The days when the sun pokes through, cuddles from Finlay and the millies cookies recipe that rocks my world.

:March so far in a nutshell:

  • Sold the flat (WHOOP!!) Well - I say sold, we have accepted an offer and the start of the paper work is going through next week we hope.
  • Ben broke a bone in his wrist and is in a cast! It is blue, and he HATES it, and, it is starting to smell a bit like cheese. Poor Ben.
  • I am teaching a class for Fiskars at the end of the month at the NEC on the 27th (anyone coming?) If you are, we will be doing a altered canvas :)
  • I got my fringe cut in again! And I love it, again, and I am sure that pretty soon, like before, I will hate it again LOL. *fickle faddy me*
  • I have designed a new range of stamps that will be available soley through my shop and will be exclusive designs :-) (and they have stolen my heart)
  • I have fallen in love with mini donkeys and a silver kitten at a petting farm
  • eaten pancakes... fluffy awesome "American" style pancakes - yum!
  • Watched my Son bravely battle tonsilitiis without so much as a moan bless him.
  • worn flowers in my hair
  • applied for a new driving license to start learning for real!! Whoop!
  • Hung out with my sister and loved it.
I hope it continues to be awesome.

Friday Musings - Royal'tea

I am excited about the royal wedding, it is no lie, I am mostly excited as it's like a fairytale, a girl marrying her prince :) *mega love*
So, that is the inspiration for this weeks digi stamp set :)
*I am not going to lie, I like, LOVE this set.. I hope you do too!*
"ROYAL'TEA"
Eight files
4 colour and 4 outline
PLUS free set of union jack heart printables.
All for £1.50
You can purchase the set by clicking.... HERE
(thank you xxx)
Here is what the CT came up with :)
I made some real simple blank cards using the pre-coloured files.
I love how they look mounted simply on white card.
I have made lots of these style cards recently - left blank for an emergency greeting should the occasion arise :) For example, when your corgi dog meets another and decides to fall in love, BAM, I have the perfect card for that :)
Lisa Hines made these AWESOME lavender bag teabags!
You couldn't get more British than that! I could totally do with one in a cute cup on my dresser :)
I totally totally love them :)
And Caroline Sears created this fantastic street party invitation.
HOW COOL WOULD A STREET PARTY BE?
I love the three panels of paper here with the corgi love on the bottom.. CUTE
But seriously - a street party would be my all time retro dream come true :)
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for supporting my little digi shop.

New Freebie on UKS

Hello :) I bring you another freebie today :)
It is my turn for the download on UKSCRAPPERS and this week I am offering royal bunting, in both traditional colours and pastel with roses.
It comes in two sizes, small and mini (mini is perfect for layouts) and small is just right for dangling over every available surface in your home. Or is that just me?
Here is the royal blue.....
And here is the rosey pastels....
And as a last minute addition, I made them into cupcake topper flags.
All you need to do is add double tape and cocktail sticks.
Cut out a pair of flags, simply add two rows of tape, peel and fold over a cocktail stick :)
And for the bunting, cut out the diamonds and fold in half. Add tape, lay some twine in the centre and fold over. Simples :)

Friday Musing - "Sentimental fruits"

I don't like Jellied Fruits - but I do like Sentimental fruit...
or at least, I like the thought that fruit could be sentimental :)
Hence the reason for another odd set of stamps
(and yes, I am referring to 'Romantic Vegetables') Odd, but cute (I hope)
Plus - I think when made up as a range, they could look SOOO CUTE on your craft stalls or totally totally handy for those times when you just wanna pop a little card in the post to let someone know you are thinking about them, and perhaps love them a little, or a lot ;-)
You get 12 files.
6 Colour PNG and 6 Outline Jpeg.
all for £1.50
Like them? Buy them HERE
********************************************
Sadly - I didn't get these drawn up with enough time to send out to my DT for their divine samples - but I did manage to knock up a card for you to show you how they can look on a quick and simple card. Cute huh?

Quilty quilt

Remember how bad I was at making quilts?
It turned out I had been doing it pretty much TOTALLY incorrectly from start to finish, well, remember I went on that quilting workshop? I learned how to quilt on that..
and I mean, properly, by ironing every step of the way, lining up properly, cutting properly etc.
SO I applied all my new found knowledge and completed the quilt I started for Finlay before Christmas. I had originally sewn the three panels and then stopped. Christmas expenses came and went, and it went into a bag forgotten about. Anyway - LONG story short, I dug it out - added some red panels to the middle, and to the edges (not shown in the first pic)
I quilted it with bright blue backing cotton, and then hand made my binding from green cotton.
I am ESPECIALLY proud of this binding - for I had NEVER made it before.
(thank you YouTube)
There is 240" of it - which I sewed on by hand, including mitred corners! *whoop!*
I am a slow hand stitcher - it took me nearly SIX hours to sew it on.
And yes - I am going on and on about it - but seriously - I love it. And so does Finlay - which was the only thing that mattered to me.
I didn't shed a single tear whilst making it (unlike all my other attempts - which nearly led to the loss of my sanity)
Thanks for stopping by :)
