Well...
I did it! I had a stand / booth at a craft fair!
The venue was great, but the advertising of the actual event was lacking, and it was much quieter than everyone exhibiting had hoped. Some people didn't sell anything at all!
I didn't do too badly - and I had some lovely customers and comments which spurred me on.
I had quite a good pitch, sited next to a grand piano which I ended up using as extra space for some paintings and pendants on a metal tree <3
I had some lovely comments from customers about the angel stamps - everyone seemed really surprised to learn that they were my own artwork, which both confused and pleased me lol!
But my best seller of the day were the menu frames!!
So so so so so so so so chuffed that they were a popular choice!
Would I do another one?
Yeah, totally, but it has to be well advertised!!!
For some of the day, there were just the stall holders in the hall!
*Que a tumble weed and awkward whispers of disdain!*
Still - it was a fun day!!
Hello to anyone who is reading my blog from following my business card links, it was nice to meet you!

Hiya...Your stall looks lovely. I have been selling my craft things at stalls, sales and fairs for about ten years now and it's very hit and miss...but I love meeting people and I always get a buzz when I have people being complimentary about my cards...I sometimes only sell a few but still love it all the same. The best one I ever did was in my own home on a Sunday afternoon in October. I invited family and friends and had Halloween and Christmas things together...I took just over £300...
Your booth looked very professional, but warm and inviting, SJ. I wish I could have been there to shop. :)
That looks lovely. It would have certainly tempted me. Pleased you had a good day. Jude.x
So pleased it went well (considering the turnout!), your stall looks very pretty from the photos and the menu frames are fab!
Your stall looks great and I'm glad you had a good day. It is annoying when the fairs aren't advertised well, for the customers too, much better to walk around a busy fair than an almost empty one! Everything looks super!

Forgot to add... I love those little 'sending you love' cards - were they your business cards? Fabulous!

Your stall looks fab SJ, have you thought about offering your menus as a download for people to buy to put in their own photo frames?? I would def buy one for my new home, I think your one with the mixer is just gorgeous :) ps, are you thinking of putting your cute typewriter as a stamp sometime soon?
Hugs

Your booth set-up is lovely & your creations are beautiful, so don't get discouraged. I've had shows like that also, and then the next one was fantastic.
