One part of being a mum that I struggled with, was offering nutritious meals, at least five times a week for my mini family. I am one of those people who will stand at the fridge, not be inspired, open a cupboard, not be inspired and go back to the fridge to see if a magical meal solution has appeared. So - we started to meal plan, BUT we used to write them on scraps of paper and then find ourselves constantly searching for the notepad we wrote it on, or finding and old one and getting confused as to why there was quorn fillets on the menu but none in the freezer.
Anyway - long story cut short - I was blog hopping and came across this
And I had to do one for myself!
have tons of frames - and grabbed a 10x10 one, popped in some gorgeous Crate and October afternoon paper and used some PERFECT stickers from the crate restoration collection pack with days of the week on (score!)
Then all I do every Monday is write the meals for the week as we do the online shop.
awesome.
Plus - and rather geekily, I love writing with dry board markers :)

I love an organised home. (or the idea of one lol!)

well done SJ on the organising, that is a gorgeous menu frame :)
So, it's Thursday afternoon.. I have a headache and can't work, so I'm blog-hopping. I drop by SJ's blog... "Duh... that's nice, but how can she re-use it every week?"...
Took me a while to work out that you Write on the Glass of the Picture Frame!
That is clever. In fact, given my dumb and stupid state this afternoon, it seems nothing short of genius!
I love this project - and I like the idea of meal planning too. I do know some others who do this; it's very useful when you have a large and/or busy family, with a limited budget and/or lack of storage space for lots of groceries... a good way to buy only what you will use and avoid wastage.
So why don't I do this? Hmmm...
Thanks for the great idea and a peek at a brilliant project!
Fab idea that i quite possibly have to pinch! Thanks for sharing :)
What a fantastic idea and it looks gorgeous. Thanks for sharing

Oh, I *love* this! I also love that I have some of that paper and those stickers, aha! Such a fine idea, menu planning, yet somehow I've never done it - not even on scraps of paper. Maybe if I had a pretty frame all set up I'd get a bit more organised?! Thanks for the inspiration! xx
I menu plan too, but also lose the list all the time. Methinks this is the perfect idea. I have some magnets somewhere, I wonder if they are strong enough to hold the frame on the fridge? Love your planner!! xx
I know what you mean about the scraps of paper.Sometimes I write the shopping list then forget half way through the week what it is I'm supposed to be making. That is such a pretty and sensible solution. One may be appearing in my kitchen some time soon.
Gorgeous! I should meal plan too, might have to make one of these. X
