:) - thank you (a New- New Years Round Up )

Thank you for your comments on my last post - you say some beautiful things and some of them leave me speechless. Having a blog is such a strange thing isn't it? You can go two ways - keep it all professional and keep feelings out, or go all in and throw in emotion into the mix, and when you do that, you open yourself to let the world look into your life... I did the later, and I will always be grateful that my visitors have always been lovely and said nice things - even the million spam comments I get offer me cheap meds - everyones a winner! lol  :)
Anyway - I reflected upon my New years entry and I decided that some of it was a little "down hearted" and that is exactly what I wanted to change for 2011 - ironic. SO - I decided to go through my blog and choose at least one thing for each month that made me smile - and ended up with lots!
Wanna see?
Well, you're gonna (unless you outclick now, in which case - muwah Happy new years!!)
xxxx
JANUARY
Little musings started - this was my first "person" download (she had 2k downloads in the end!!)
which  means, two thousand of you downloaded her - and maybe one or two of you used her in a project or two :) xxxx
 My fav LO of Jan,
And - little musings family portraits started!
This was amoungst my first orders - and I loved it :)
FEBRUARY:
This was my fav LO in feb - and it was a commission for Paper Craft Inspirations.
My first commissioned canvas...
And we invited Lola into our lives (*I miss her*)
MARCH:
We started doing serious work in the garden, planting and preparing and going on worm hunts *heeebs*
I had a fringe cut in! (or bangs if you're reading from the US)
I have grown it out now... but looking at this pic makes me want it back!
APRIL:
April saw Finlay get excited about Easter for the first time.
Especially when the Easter Bunny left him a basket of goodies!
I did three layouts that I loved this month:

MAY:
Ben's rocket garden arrived - and he carefully planted all he could round the garden, till we had a little allotment going on (shame it was shared!)
My fav LO this month:
We hung out on the board walk when the days were warmer..
Finlay had measles!!!!!
More LO's

Laura took me and Fin to Lego Land - and it was epic!
JUNE:
June saw garden wigwam fun :)
and picking of beans...
and my 29th Birthday party..
It was Alice in wonderland themed.. you may have seen one or two pics of it before *ahem* (well.. it was awesome!)

We took some sunset walks as the tides went out..
(we got stuck in some rancid mud this day too - not shown lol!)
*cutes*
JULY:
In July we picked strawberries.
And I was proud of my chair covering :)
And I celebrated 2 years of marriage :)
And Finlay grew cuter.
AUG
I attended a frighteningly awesome Hen weekend....
And we made Jam (not at the hen weekend)
And Finlay loved watching the pumpkins grow :)
SEPTEMBER:
September saw many puppets shows in the garden :)
And my best friend got married <3
and I learned that love and care can grow beauty...
And that photo booth fun is the best fun - ever!
And my digi designs were taken on by a UK wholesaler and made into a line of stamps :)
OCTOBER:
I loved October - even thought we had to move back from the garden flat to our flat that hadn't sold - I still loved October - it feels like such a homely month :)
Pumpkins and squash season too :)
<3

I also joined in "the big draw" in the Delawarr Bexhill
A Layout I made at the Cardinal Colours retreat where I taught.
I perfected a recipe for millies cookies - and they ROCK
I got to hang out with these girlies:
and make pretty stuff all weekend...
NOVEMBER:
I learned to properly quilt!
(well - sadly before that, I'd tried at home to make this and failed a bit - but Finlay still loves it so thats ok!)
And December is now - and lovely...
So - no more moping...
I am a lucky girl indeed!

What a super-lovely, cheerful, looking-back-in-pleasure sort of post!
Loads of gorgeous photos and layouts there... lots of adventures to remember and plenty of enjoyment (or making the best of less enjoyable things).
I hope your 2011 Year is even more wonderful, with more fun and less problems.
Happy New Year SJ!

What a lovely look at the last year of your life, SJ. You do indeed have much to be thankful for. Seeing this little trip down memory lane makes me want to do a better job of keeping up with my scrap booking and journaling.

I love your blog - and I hear you, I decided to use my blog for my personal stuff as well as my cards. I don't regret it because I am also a writer, but it is... different. Not everyone does that. I am glad that you do! :) Happy New Year!
