Being a scrapbooker - having a camera in my hand is a done deal.
I take a LOT of photographs - but - every so often a particular photo happens that makes my heart flutter...
This is one of them.

Finlay didn't draw that heart *obviously* , I did.
BUT I didn't suggest he trace it - nore did I even ask him to enter into the frame (lol.. I wanted a photo of the heart in the sand) BUT the two together have made a photo that makes me go "awwwwwwwww!!!" and if I am honest, I want it blown up large for the house.
There is something so unique and personal about capturing moments like these. I will look back at the set of pictures that day from the beach with warm fuzzies as it meant a lot to be there.
I want to have a stack of photos that are creative, thoughtful and mean something to me.
Wouldn't it be cool to be able to think about this more when you are out with the camera, to think creatively and it become a matter of course, to naturally think "What would be awesome?" as well as "quick lets get that on film!"
Well.

I would love to get a DSLR camera, only have a point and shoot at the moment. Love that picture, it's a must for the wall.
Beautiful picture!!
I have a Fuji-Film finepix s1000, I would be sooooo..... lost without a camera, take it almost everywhere, and take loads of photo's just to capture that '1'!! Would just love to know how to use all the different settings!

omgosh. That photo is perfect. Yes, blow it up, frame it, and hang it! Definately worthy!
Awwwwwww, that really is the cutest photo. Definately one to be treasured for years to come and a must for the wall.
For me the one thing I couldn't be without is the good old Macro button, makes such a difference when taking nature shots and also for getting up close with my crafty makes too. I'm also very fond of the 'continuous shot' button, especially on my phone - invariably the shot I set up quickly whilst out and about ends up not being great but a subsequent one always seems to come up trumps.
My must have is my IPhone for the ease I can now email photos to my hubby when he's away working.
i love my point & shoot, especially the macro setting which I use a ridiculous amount! But right now I'm loving my Gorilla Pod tripod as its sooo handy but fits in my handbag :)
my must have item for heart thumping photos are my two children! I take hundreds of photos and every so often i will come across one of the pair of them that makes me melt. Without them my photos wouldn't be any where near as good
That photo is so sweet SJ.
I love my Nikon D5o, it comes almost everywhere with me but I have just got a new 'old' 35mm baby with a gorgeous 50mm lens that is just sweet as! Maybe a new fave!!
What a stunning photo! Do it! Blow it up huge and put it on your wall! it's too good to be stowed away in an album
i love my sony@100 it might not be so modern now but it does the job and i couldnt be without it!!!!
i'd so love to do this class!
I love my 2 cameras, both point and shoots. They both take pictures so differently.
I would not be without my portrait setting and zoom lens. I love taking extreme close ups of my children focusing on the deep blue eyes or the cherry red lips. I have thousands of photos and my better half often gets frustrated by the number of similar shots there are in a set. I don't care... If I take fifty photos to get one perfect melt your heart shot it is worth it. I print them all regardless of how good they are, which ialso bemused hubby. But all us scrappers know... We are always making memories and recording them for posterity is so important. I would love to know the story behind some of the old photos my grandad left me when he died, but he never wrote them down and I never asked. I so wish I had because there are moments of joy and love caught in those frames which are extremely obvious, but unexplained. I want my children to have the distant memories brought flooding back by a few carefully chosen words or to thrill when they find something out about us that they didn't know until they read the journalling. Phew! Hope you don't mind the out pouring but my perplexing hobby bemused my family... Which brings me back to the zoom. Sometimes I just click from a distance as they can't bear another moment under the mamarazzis lens ; - )
Awesome giveaway! I love my camera but it seems to chew through battery power at a crazy rate so I couldn't be without a stash of spare batteries! This class looks awesome. My first baby is due in August so I need something to keep me busy when maternit leave starts and also some new ideas for photos. Love your first photo in this post by the way :-)

I love my dslr but wouldn't be without my point and shoot...its a bit like childrens buggies...there doesn't seem to be one "that does it all"
Thanks for the chance to enter the giveaway.
That photo is just divine, would look great on a canvas too.
Although I have a couple of great cameras I would really like a good point and shoot to keep in my handbag. Am thinking about trading in my bridge camera for one cos I don't really need both the DSLR and bridge! I do use my Blackberry for some snaps outdoors but it's not great!
Hope you are well SJ xxxx

My must is my Canon 450D!! My wonderful hubby bought it for my birthday 2 years ago and I adore it. I still loads to learn about it but I am enjoying experimenting!! However, I lover the hipstamatic app for my iPhone!!!
Although I love my digital camera, I still love to use a good old disposable camera every once and a while - I love putting them in to get developed and the surprise of not knowing how the pictures of turned out!!
Awww how cute! I have a point and shoot, I'd love a dslr and also am looking into toy cameras, such as Dianas, Holgas, Digital Harinezumi's....
very cute pic :)
I would not be without picasa3, its rights my wrongs lol
Love your photo. I really want a good flashgun. My Canon has a fixed flash but you can't control it
My must have is my Panazonic DMC-LX2 and spare battery. It travelles everywhere with me and enables me to take so many 'off the cuff' photos. I also could not live without Photoshop Elements.
Well that's kind of easy to start with, it's got to be my camera; a Canon EOS 450d. I love it to bits and wouldn't be without it. However I do like to play with my images after I've shot them sometimes so I also wouldn't be without Photoshop CS3.
And as for a wish list? Hhhmmmm I'd definately upgrade my camera... a Canon EOS 5d Mk II thank you very much!!!
Love my little Olympus camera my parents gave me. It's pink & super simple to operate but takes great photos.
Class sounds fab, thanks for the chance to win a place :)
I love my point and shoot but would love a DSLR (daughter wants one for her birthday so I may buy it for her and share it !) Love the picture of Finlay and the heart XX
A DSLR is my dream (my sister has one and I hog hers when she's home). Alas it's way down the list of things I need. That's why my choice of mobile phone was the one with the 8mp camera! I end up taking most of my photos with that, and it's held up pretty well. Plus, it's alway in my bag, so I don't miss the action!

I would love to have a DLSR, but for now my point and shoot is OK! Love to take pictures of the little moments in life.....
Beautiful photo and what wonderful memories it will bring. I use my phone the most. It is always, well, almost always, in my purse and I can get quick photos of my granddaughter. I forget to take the 'big' camera. :( Phone photos are better than no photos!
My little camera is always in my handbag :)
Just love Shimelle's classes!!!!
I love my point and shoot camera as it is lightweight and fits inside a pocket. This means I always have it with me.
Not sure if this counts - but I couldn't live without my Pogo photo printer. Its just perfect for carrying around all my favourite photos. They all sit in my purse, so I can look at them when I'm on the bus home from work!
I love my little Nikon point and shoot ~ I keep it in my purse so I'm always photo-ready. I may not get the spectacular shot but at least I'll get something
I guess the most obvious answer is I can’t live without my Nikon D80 but truly I think it is my Epson R1900 printer. I am not sure it’s possible to love a piece of equipment more than I love this printer. It makes everything I do look so much better!!
I would love a spot in the class, it sounds awesome!!
Love my Canon digital camera. I keep it handy at all times so as not to miss a good pic opportunity!
just love my little point and shoot ( despite the strange smear that appeared on the lens today must be something to do with little fingers)
I vote for my DSLR and the tripod.
Would love a space in the class.
I have a point and shoot that fits right in a pocket on the side of my purse. I love having it with me all the time.
I love my cam but I think I have to use it more.
Hi SJ! I would love a digital SLR but at the moment I am loving hipstamatic!!
I have a Kodak Z1485 as that is about all I can handle. Tech savy I am not! I have tried using a few features besides just point and shoot and the camera does everything elde for me. Nice - too bad life isn't that way.
my camera and tripod
I just love my Olympus X-855 in its bright lime green case which takes up no space in my handbag and is available always because its battery is so good. It was a surprise present from dh and dd and it's perfect.
I cannot live without my D90 and adobe photoshop! :) although I prefer to make sure the pictures are taken the way I want it in my camera, if they don't, I tweak them on photoshop :D
I just bought a DSLR, and love it!
My digital camera is all i need at the moment, i always hope for good weather so the light is enough to make pictures inside and outside!
I'd love to have a chance at this class, looks great!
I love my Canon SLR!
I am little miss forgetful so often I somehow manage to forget my camera to even the most important of occassions so thank goodness for my I-phone although it is not as sharp as I may like but that is usually amended with a little Photoshop action!
I would love to own a dslr. I have a bridge camera which I love but stil learning about all the manual functions.
As long as I have a camera that doesn't take film anymore, I like them all. I love my digital camera's.
