Home Making

We had our flat valued a few weeks ago, which gave us the grim knowledge that moving right now would not be viable, the housing market is in a bad way. So, that being so, we have decided to make our flat a real home.
Spend some time on it, where before we have neglected it.
I started in the hall, by painting a 4ft mural, its a floral swirl.. it went a bit grander than I first expected, but I like it non the less....
Here it is in stages...

The flowers are make believe, and if they look like proper flowers that is just coincidence lol!
The 2nd stage of "make it home" came in the form of our lounge,
I have bugged Ben for years, and finally its done! (nearly)
The ceiling went from nicotine yellow to pristine white, the previous people actually painted it this awful colour! So it had to go!

This is the mural I painted years ago, which is on its way out now, in favour for some fancy wall paper, (See end picture)

This is the final colour of the paint, and freshly whited ceiling and window frame, this is taken with the lights on at night...

And this is it in daylight..
Gorgeous!!!!!!

This is the wall paper. It will be up by Sunday!
I am a happy paint covered gal!
